5. Jose Mourinho leaves Manchester United

It has been a long ride for Manchester United under the command of Jose Mourinho, especially for the fans and players. His command led them to the worst season in the history of Man Utd. They were 7th place until the new standing manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, gave the team a helping hand. It took almost half of the premier league season to get Jose sacked, and the players tried quite hard too.

4. Gabriel Jesus gets 100 points for Manchester City

Man City became the 2nd club to beat the 100 point mark, the first being Chelsea, and when Man City played Southampton, Jesus’s goal got City to the hundred point mark, making it into the top 5 moments.

3. Ronaldo’s Bicycle kick vs Juventus

Ronaldo has never ceased top form, and when he was still playing for Real Madrid, he showed he was still the big man by scoring an unspeakable bicycle kick against his to-be club Juventus. It was nowhere near the reach of the Juventus keeper and was voted one of the best goals in the season.

2. The Karius Failure

After buying Loris Karius for a reasonable price, the Liverpool team expected the best f him, so they put him in the starting 11 for the match against Real Madrid for the champions league final, but no one would think how bad the consequences would be. After Mo Salah's injury, one conceded goal from Karius' ball roll to a teammate put in by Karim Benzema, then an unstoppable bicycle kick from Gareth Bale, then a shot from Bale again bouncing off Karius' hands showed that Liverpool not only lost the champions league in the worst and humiliating way possible, but it also showed Liverpool had to get a new goalkeeper.

  1. The Kepa Incident

This event is number 1 on this list,  because how is it possible a goalkeeper, 20 years younger than the manager himself, lost the will and power to substitute his injured keeper and then lost the Carabao Cup final in penalties. Kepa Arrizabalaga near the end of extra time pulled his hamstring again but refused to be subbed off by Sarri and replaced by Willy Caballero. Luckily he was able to win the battle of power, however Sarri, furious, almost walked away from the stadium and the job. Kepa was later fined a week’s salary. A similar event happened when the German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp had to be subbed off in humiliation, to be replaced by Ter Stagen. This is a very rare thing to happen, even more, rare for a manager to lose the battle of wits to get his injured goalkeeper off the pitch.

On the 27th of February once more the two best teams in Spain and in Europe encountered themselves in one more edition for the “El Clásico”. The stage of the night this time was the home of Real Madrid, Santiago Bernabéu, in the heart of capital city. This time for the semifinal of the la Copa del Rey. The first leg of the semifinal was in Barcelona while both teams did not manage to get any further than 1x1. The game itself was really good, both teams had clear chances of winning the game however they did not manage to get through each other’s defence.

However, the second leg of the semifinal was completely different. Real Madrid started the game losing many clear chances of goal in the first half with Benzema.Vinicius Junior was giving it his all to try and score for his team.

There were two very polemic faults, in the first half, Barça saw that Real Madrid was not playing its best at the night and took advantage of that and on the 50 minutes mark the star of the night scored his first goal. After many fail attempts to get into Barcelona’s goal from Real Madrid, Barcelona extends its advantage by Varane’s ungoal in the 69 minutes mark, Barça 2-0, and on the 73 minutes mark to close the scoreboard Suárez receives a fault and penalty, which allowed him to score one more time and Barcelona finishes the night with  3-0.

Barça is in the final for la Copa del Rey and will be facing either Valencia or Betis that will be playing later today and will decide who is going to the final. The home of the final for the la Copa del Rey will be Sevilla’s stadium Benito Villamarín on the 25th of April.
